As the year 2010 marks 50 years since Hurston’s death, the 2010 festival will feature a special legacy celebration, which will pay tribute to national and international notables who, like Hurston, embody a spirit of achievement and have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields; those of which include Cathy Hughes, George Fraser, and Susan Taylor.  

Sponsorships for the 2010 ZORA! Festival Legacy Awards Celebration will contribute to the Zora Neale Hurston Youth Endowment, which helps fund arts education and cultural heritage programs for our youth throughout the year.
